It is a great location in the history of WW1 and Turkish history as well. It can be done on a single day from Istanbul. The presence of a good guide I think is essential, since it is difficult to be appraised of the entire history of events or their significance.

A very impressive sight, different grave yards for different countries, all very well maintained. Also beautiful scenery here.

A very solemn site - a remembrance for those of both sides that fought. Most grave markers show young men in their 20's died.

Lots of history , there are good Signs which explain a lot of what happened in the area. It's best to have a guide to get the full experience, plus you need a car

The whole island is so serene. The care that has been placed on all of the graveyards is so respectful.
